Evening Exchange Club of Lake Norman, NC History

June 14, 2016 is when the story begins for this club.  Mooresville already had a successful Exchange Club of Mooresville/Lake Norman serving the area and holding meetings during the day.  A need for an evening club was met when the Evening Exchange Club of Greater Mooresville/Lake Norman chartered in June 2016.  Yes, that was a long name, and since then has been shortened to our current name - Evening Exchange Club of Lake Norman, NC.

Building a new club requires a team of Exchangites dedicating time to promote and prepare meetings where locals can learn more about joining the Exchange Club family.   Paul Summerville, Cotton and Vickie Ketchie, and Kim Saragoni led the successful creation of our club. In fact, our sister club, Mooresville/Lake Norman Exchange Club created three clubs that year.  Barbara Orr was the first president of the club and still helps to guide the future leaders of Exchange.

In 2023 this club built our first club, the Exchange Club of Troutman, and then we helped support a new club in Denver, too.

The Evening Exchange Club has made a phenomenal impact on the community of Mooresville and surrounding area.  Unity for Service is the Exchange motto and we work together (within our club, with our sister clubs, and with other area organizations) making a difference throughout the year.  Contact us if you are interested in learning more about our club.  Or, visit our NC District and National Exchange page to start exploring other clubs.
